Michael Gove is to support the UK leaving the EU. He may be perceived particularly poorly by the public but he's a bright chap and written an excellent article in the spectator. It fires the starting gun in the intellectual wars over Brexit.

A commentator made the following contribution to the debate stemming from the well known senior Conservative, Tim Montgomerie, leaving the party:
"If we all did a Tim (leave the Tory party), where would we go? I want to fight in politics and none of the other parties appeal at all, so I want to stay inside and fight here, because this is my battleground - but I would dearly love a change of General and senior officers. Many of those we have at the moment seem to have bought their commissions without any notion of how to lead their troops now they have the pretty uniforms."
My feeling is that the above reflects the feelings bags of the great majority leader of Conservative members.
